Warning... Can practicing harm your golf game?
I was on the driving range yesterday evening and couldn't help notice how many golfers (of all abilities good and not so good) were practicing their golf game in a way that is totally different from how they would most probably play the golf course. Now this ties in nicely with the most commonly used pro shop phrase from customers that visit the pro shop, "I can hit it fine on the range but not take it to the course". Well to keep it simple, next time you are on the range carry out these two top tips. Number one, never hit more that two shots consecutively with the same club and number two, never aim at the same target more than once either.
Stephen Hendry, the famous snooker player, was quoted as saying "when I practice I practice as I play so when I play, I play as I have practiced". Enjoy your golf this week and if you want to chat about your game, visit the pro shop soon.
